9cards update log

Every material change,
kept in the open.

Our editorial team adds confirmed card changes here by hand. This is a site record—not a forum feed—so dated notes, caveats and re-checks remain visible when card terms move.

Date by date

The current record.

We add a new line when a confirmed issuer change, a material caveat or a required re-check affects how a card should be understood.

  1. Fees

    Axis ₹1,300 late-payment slab confirmed

Eight of the nine Axis card revision notices carry an identical table adding a top band above ₹50,000 at ₹1,300, with every band below ₹50,000 stated as unchanged. This clears the review flag raised on 30 July. HDFC Bank's MITC already charges ₹1,300 above ₹50,000, so Axis is arriving at the same ceiling rather than exceeding it. The PRIMUS notice contains no late-fee change.

  2. Exclusions

Axis gift-card and toll exclusions confirmed

From 28 August 2026, gift-card spends move out of the Wallet category into a separate Gift card category and continue to earn nothing, and eight notices add that no rewards are earned on bridge fees, road fees and tolls. What the reclassification carries with it differs by card: fee-waiver and milestone exclusions apply on some notices and not others.

  3. Lounge access

Priority Pass stops admitting to Indian domestic lounges

Six Axis notices — SELECT, MAGNUS, MAGNUS for BURGUNDY, OLYMPUS, RESERVE and PRIMUS — state that from 28 August 2026 the Priority Pass card is not valid at domestic airport lounges in India; the credit card itself is presented instead. Lounges at Indian international terminals after immigration still count as international and still take the Priority Pass.

  4. Caps

Axis SELECT ₹3 lakh threshold narrows

From 1 October 2026 the ₹3 lakh anniversary-year threshold that unlocks 6 extra international lounge visits, 6 extra golf rounds and Priority Pass renewal stops counting spends in categories that already earn no points: insurance, rent, fuel, educational services, utilities and telecom, wallet, gold and jewellery, government services and gift card. The threshold figure itself is unchanged.

  5. Rewards

Axis movie benefits move behind a ₹25,000 gate

From 1 November 2026 the District buy-one-get-one offer on My Zone, SELECT and Privilege, and the 10% BookMyShow discount up to ₹100 on NEO, require ₹25,000 of settled spend in the previous three months. Fees and interest do not count, and an EMI purchase counts only at the instalment billed in the cycle rather than at full transaction value.

  6. Terms

    Axis payment allocation order stated

All nine Axis notices state the same order from 28 August 2026: a payment is applied first to fees and charges including taxes, then EMIs, interest, purchases and cash advances last. This is the only change in the set that appears on every card, and it decides which part of a revolved balance a partial payment actually clears.

  7. Caps

PhonePe SBI Card monthly caps cut

From 1 July 2026 the SELECT BLACK cap on eligible PhonePe spends became 500 points on insurance plus 1,500 on other spends, from a single 2,000-point ceiling, and online spends fell from 2,000 to 1,000. PURPLE moved to 250 plus 750, with online down from 1,000 to 750. Both notices publish the excluded merchant category codes, including 4784 for tolls and bridges.

  8. Launch

Google Pay Flex SBI Card launched

SBI Card and Google Pay launched a co-branded card on 29 July 2026 at ₹499 plus tax, waived on ₹1 lakh of annual spend, on RuPay or Visa with UPI linkage on the RuPay variant. The headline of up to 18,000 Stars a year is a ceiling: at the top reported tier of 8 Stars per ₹500 it needs about ₹11.25 lakh of eligible spend. No primary issuer document was retrievable on this check.

  9. Review due

HDFC Regalia Gold lounge gate unverified

Coverage from May and August 2026 consistently reports that Regalia Gold now needs ₹60,000 of previous-calendar-quarter spend for up to three domestic lounge visits, effective from the July–September 2026 quarter, with six international Priority Pass visits unchanged. HDFC Bank's own feature-change PDF was not retrievable at the URL pattern its other notices use, so this is held rather than logged as confirmed.

Axis DCC markup rises on 28 August

Axis Bank's MITC carries notice of a portfolio-wide terms update effective 28 August 2026. The new dynamic currency conversion rates are 3.5% on My Zone, SELECT, Privilege and NEO, 2% on Magnus and Magnus for Burgundy, and 1.8% on OLYMPUS — so paying abroad in rupees stops being the cheaper option. Corrected 4 August 2026: the card notices state a prior rate of 1.5% on all of those except OLYMPUS, which states no prior rate. This line originally said DCC was nil today, which was wrong.

Axis late-payment band and reward exclusions

Reports of a ₹1,300 top late-payment slab and of gift-card and toll reward exclusions from 28 August are not in the Axis MITC we can read today, which still tops out at ₹1,200. Held for a re-check on the effective date rather than logged as confirmed. Resolved 4 August 2026: both are confirmed in the card-specific revision notices.

  12. Rewards

    FIRST Power+ reward terms confirmed

The 18 June issuer communication is verified against IDFC FIRST's own cardholder PDF, clearing the review flag raised on 24 July. Reward Points are earned only on spends up to the credit limit each billing cycle, and the monthly movie discount now needs a transaction in the previous calendar month.

  13. Rewards

    FIRST Millennia 10X unlock removed

Dining, travel and international spends earn 10X from the first eligible transaction instead of only after ₹20,000 in a billing cycle. Points earned from the July 2026 statement cycle expire after 24 months.

  14. Caps

    SBI statement-credit redemption limits

Since 1 April 2026, redeeming Reward Points as statement credit is capped at 60,000 points a month and must be in multiples of 4,000. SBI names three exempt cards; none of them is in our shortlist.
