A bank-offer banner is not a complete price. The useful number is the discount that appears after the correct card, coupon, channel, date and minimum value have all been tested. This roundup therefore starts with the issuer’s dated terms, not an aggregator headline.

Freshness check: Checked 31 July 2026. Every offer below had an official window that included this date. “Live” means the published period includes 31 July; it does not guarantee inventory, checkout acceptance or an unused customer quota. Recheck the linked issuer terms immediately before spending because a bank or merchant may modify, pause or withdraw a campaign under its terms.

The Axis Apple page title in its URL still refers to a different cap, while the live issuer page displayed “up to ₹15,000” when checked. The visible page is used here, but model-level eligibility can change and must be confirmed at checkout. That is also why this row does not invent a universal 10% rate or minimum spend.

What the larger offers actually require

HDFC SmartBuy is a route, not one flat coupon. Its 1 July–31 August schedule varies by card and category, and the purchase must begin through the eligible SmartBuy journey. Monthly and daily caps apply; visiting the merchant independently does not become eligible merely because an HDFC card pays.

HSBC MakeMyTrip uses different coupons and thresholds by category. Beyond the table, international flights are 10% up to ₹5,000 on ₹15,000; international hotels are up to 15%, capped at ₹20,000, with no minimum stated; holidays advertise up to 35% up to ₹40,000 on ₹35,000. Compare the final fare because selected properties and excluded fees matter. EMI coupons add processing-fee, interest, GST and reversal rules.

ICICI iPhone for Life is financing plus conditional third-party buyback, not a simple discount. The page states 7.5% reducing-balance interest, a 2% processing fee on the 75% loan amount, GST, and cashback intended to offset interest. The remaining 25% is billed in month 25. The 25% buyback depends on device/accessory checks in months 21–24, so it is not a free iPhone or unconditional saving.

A checkout sequence that catches most failures

  1. Confirm the campaign day and expiry on the official page.
  2. Match the exact card, payment rail and merchant channel.
  3. Apply the coupon and verify the discount before authorising.
  4. Recalculate minimum spend after coupons, wallet credit, fees and excluded products.
  5. Check whether quota is per transaction, card, user, category, month or rolling period.
  6. Save dated terms and cart evidence without exposing the full card number.

Our instant discount, cashback and points comparison explains why different benefit types are not interchangeable. The cashback cap guide covers capped arithmetic.

Stacking, MCC, EMI and cancellation risks

RiskWhat to verify before payment
Stacking and couponWhether another merchant/bank code or wallet credit is allowed; several offers prohibit combinations
MCC and channelA named campaign may require a route or gateway even if ordinary card rewards depend on merchant classification
EMIProcessing fee, GST on interest, lost rewards and total instalments; use the fee-table guide
Quota and expiryPer-card/user/month limits, add-on sharing, allocation and whether payment completes before cutoff
CancellationFull cancellation commonly voids the benefit; partial refunds can break the minimum or reverse value

SBI also says reward points on qualifying offer transactions may be forfeited, so do not automatically add normal rewards to its instant discount. These are practical reading points, not legal or tax advice. If the discount is absent and you would not buy at full price, stop and recheck.

Frequently asked questions

Which offer is universally best on 31 July 2026?

None. The useful choice depends on an intended purchase, the final merchant price, your eligible card, exclusions and any financing cost. A larger cap does not make an unnecessary purchase valuable.

Can a normal card reward stack with an instant discount?

Possibly, but never assume it. Campaign terms, the card reward guide and later reward forfeiture rules all matter. SBI explicitly describes reward-point forfeiture for qualifying offer transactions.

What if an official page and its URL show different caps?

Use the current page and detailed terms, preserve evidence, and verify at checkout. The Axis Apple URL and visible headline are a good example of why a slug is not a reliable term sheet.

Does payment success prove offer eligibility?

No. A payment can post at full price with the wrong code, product, day, channel or card. For an instant discount, verify the reduced amount before authorising.
