Checked 31 July 2026.

July’s useful credit-card story is not one launch or one devaluation. It is the collision of several effective dates: HDFC business-card reward changes already operating, a new BizPower lounge-and-voucher gate, HSBC Live+ benefits moving away from its legacy Cashback structure, and offer windows beginning on 31 July and 1 August.

This watchlist does not repeat full card reviews. It identifies what should be checked against a July or August statement and where official sources disagree or omit a date. Terms can change after publication, so recheck the issuer’s live documents immediately before relying on lounge access, a transfer, a cap or an offer.

HDFC business cards: reward units and gates

BizGrow changed from 2 RP/₹150 to 2 RP/₹200 on 15 May 2026. Assume ₹60,000 fully eligible spend, exact units and no caps, returns or bonuses: the old unit gives 800 RP; the new gives 600 RP—200 fewer, or 25%. Transaction-level rounding can change a statement.

BizPower became 5 RP/₹200 from 15 May. On the same assumptions, ₹60,000 gives 1,500 RP. That is not a cash return until redemption value and costs are applied; see our redemption guide.

From July 2026, ₹75,000 qualifying previous-quarter BizPower spend unlocks two domestic lounge visits plus one MMT zero-cancellation voucher. ₹74,999 misses; ₹75,000 qualifies subject to terms. Do not assume ₹1.5 lakh repeats the package. Track the period with our lounge-gate guide and separate a rate from its cap.

HDFC SmartBuy: an unresolved official conflict

Checked HDFC material conflicts between 50% and 70% as the maximum SmartBuy booking share payable with points. Do not average the figures or select the larger screenshot. Match the exact card and route, compare current product terms with live checkout, save dated evidence and seek written clarification.

Unavailable resolution: neither percentage can be labelled universally correct here; product, booking type and operative date may matter.

HSBC Live+ versus the legacy position

International/Instant EMI cashbackLegacy treatment differedNo Live+ cashbackCheck transaction category

For a ₹1,00,000 INR-equivalent foreign transaction, assuming no exchange-rate movement and comparing markup only, 3.5% is ₹3,500 and 1.99% is ₹1,990: ₹1,510 difference before applicable tax. This is a cost illustration, not tax advice.

A ₹1,200 cap yields nothing extra unless eligible spend reaches it; compare realised rupees using the points-or-cashback framework. For lounges, do not count the 1 September international visit in August. If later access fails, use the denial checklist.

Offer windows

The Live+ Myntra 10% window runs 31 July–31 October 2026. Verify eligibility, channel, cap, exclusions, cancellation and fulfilment in the offer terms. Live+ Reserve begins 1 August 2026, so it is not active on this dateline; check whether its terms use transaction, posting or registration date.

A dated product notice can outrank an older general page, while an account message can set that account’s migration date. If official sources conflict, preserve both and ask the issuer rather than silently choosing one.

Frequently asked questions

Did every HSBC Cashback card become Live+ on one universal date?

No exact universal rename date was found. Use the effective date in the communication for the individual account rather than inferring it from a public launch page.

Is the HDFC SmartBuy redemption limit 50% or 70%?

Official material checked contains a conflict. Confirm the exact card, current product terms and live checkout; do not treat either figure as universally applicable without resolution.

Does BizPower spending in July unlock July’s domestic visits?

The July structure uses qualifying spend in the previous quarter. July spending would not repair a missed April–June threshold for July access under that model.

Was the Live+ international lounge visit available in July 2026?

No. Its stated effective date is 1 September 2026. Future access should never be counted before the effective date.

Does a higher cashback cap guarantee more cashback?

No. A cap is only a ceiling. Eligible category spend, rate, exclusions, merchant classification and transaction timing determine whether the ceiling is reached.
